kevock vale park villa was even better than our previous stay in lasswade. the peaceful neighborhood, beautiful river, and friendly rescued animals made it feel like a home away from home. we didn't want for anything, and the extra touch of a pony, two miniature pigs, and a baby sheep was delightful.
Limited options for dining with kids in the local area.

We had a fantastic family stay at the beautiful Kevock Vale Park. The hotel had everything we needed and more, making it a home away from home. The peaceful neighborhood and well-connected location allowed us to enjoy the best of both worlds - the tranquility of the countryside and the convenience of a short bus ride into Edinburgh. The nearby pubs, especially the Laird and Dog, served delicious food and provided great value. The presence of a pony, two miniature pigs, and a baby sheep added an extra touch of charm to our stay. The fine river and ancient cemetery in close proximity allowed us to appreciate Scotland's rich history. our experience at Kevock Vale Park was really good, and we look forward to returning in the future.

We had a lovely stay in a clean and well-equipped accommodation, surrounded by beautiful nature. the location was convenient, with various attractions and amenities within a short drive. the friendly host provided thoughtful touches, like books and toys for kids. the small terrace and barbecue were also great features for our family.
Some areas of the accommodation needed maintenance and updating, such as the need for a paint refresh and new carpet.

My recent stay at Kevock Vale Park was fantastic! The location was beautiful, just beside the river and surrounded by lush wildlife. The accommodation was clean, well-equipped, and provided a peaceful and restful sleep. Plus, the convenience of being able to visit nearby attractions like the Scottish Owl Centre and Edinburgh butterfly and insect world in under 30 minutes was a huge bonus. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful and convenient getaway.
While there were a couple of minor drawbacks, such as the local pub and restaurant rules for kids and the slight disappointment of not having a hot tub in this particular lodge, these were easily overshadowed by the amazing experience overall.

We absolutely loved our stay at the nicest little log-cabin with the friendliest hostess! the bus 31 from Princess Street was so convenient and cheap. the cabin had everything we needed, plus a thoughtful bottle of wine, teas, coffees, and milk. And there was a fantastic pub, Laird & Dog, just up the road. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and hope to return.

We absolutely loved our time at Kevock Vale Park. the pod and the lodge were both well equipped, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. Val and Dave, our hosts, were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. the lovely welcome gift for all of us was a nice touch. We had a relaxing stay, enjoying the balcony by the river and even had a couple of days where we just stayed in the lodge. It's now our new favorite place and we will definitely be back. Kevock Vale Park Villa was the perfect home away from home in Scotland. Cons: No issues at all! 😊.
